Gold from Mom's Choice Awards

Mount Rushmore has been seen by millions. Photos and stories about the monument, it's visionary sculptor Gutzon Borglum, the nearly 400 workers who spent at least part of the 14 years carving the granite in South Dakota, and the ways the project touched lives fill volumes of books. Certainly the internet has expanded the reach.
In July we joined Richard Cerasani Caine for dinner in Rapid City, SD to discuss his book, "Love Letters from Mount Rushmore." The book is a delightful read and has received a Mom's Choice Gold Award. Mom's Choice Awards is known for recognizing and honoring excellence in family-friendly media, products and services.
What the readers are saying:
"I found myself propelled in a front seat into these troubled yet hopeful times that follow the Great Depression and preceded World War II. A beautiful / realistic / grounded love story. A must read." ...... F. Silverans
"You and the Historical Society have produced a very impressive book. Your storytelling is very engaging. I would say that it is probably the most graphic description of what work on the mountain was like...It is not a simple task to meld he letters to a narrative. You have accomplished that very well..."...Robin Borglum Kennedy, The Borglum Estate
"I was deeply moved by the book. When we think of the words, "the greatest generation," we must apply them not only to the men and women of the armed forces in World War II but to the heroes like Arthur and Mary Cerasani whose integrity, endurance and faith in moral living is profoundly inspiring. I recommend the book to others very heartedly.".....T. Bullard
"I just finished reading your book, it was hard to put down. The book makes one realize the hardships and sacrifices people made in the 30s and 40s, but it also does a wonderful job of describing the love your parents had and their devotion to each other. The book shows that you wrote from the heart and that makes the book fascinating.".....L. Manus
"It was a pleasure to meet you at Book Expo...and thank you for the Love Letters book. What a beautiful and fascinating read. It was my companion on the flight home."....Raymond Arroyo from "The World Over" with Raymond Arroyo / EWTN Television Network
